Jordi Carrabina Bordoll

Jordi Carrabina was born in Manresa, Catalonia in 1963. He graduated in Physics in 1986, and received M.Sc. (1988) and Ph.D. (1991) degrees in Microelectronics (Computer Science Program), at the University Autonoma of Barcelona.

In 1986 he joined CNM, with a PhD grant where he was collaborator researcher until 1996. Since 1990, he is Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University Autonoma of Barcelona, heading the research group Embedded Computation in HW/SW Platforms and Systems Laboratory, and the CEPHIS technology transfer node from the catalan IT network. Main interests are Embedded Platform-based design using Hardware Software Co-design and SoC/NoC Architectures facing integrated and reconfigurable devices. He has given courses in several universities in Spain, Europe and South America. He has been consultant for companies as Hewlet-Packard Barcelona, Mitsubishi Electric, Epson Electronics, Sony Europe and many SME in Spain.
