Magí Almirall Hill

Magí Almirall works in the Open University of Catalonia. He is director of the Learning Technologies' department. His group receives the IGC (Internet Global Congress) innovation award 2006 and the IMS Gold “Best Mobile Learning Solution” 2008.

Since 1995 he has worked in the IT department leading the development of the virtual campus platform. His current work focuses on two themes; tools for elearning platforms and new formats of learning contents. These projects focus on standardization, accessibility for people with disabilities, usability and free software development. Magí has a science graduate degree from the University of Barcelona.
