Shane Martin Coughlan

Shane is the coordinator of Free Software Foundation Europe's legal project. He has delivered numerous talks on Free Software licensing issues, provided training courses on licence compliance and process integration, and acted as a consultant for organisations wishing to leverage Free Software for non-commercial and commercial activities. Shane was previously involved in lock-in analysis, open standards and ICT security as an independent consultant. He studied in the UK at the University of Wolverhampton and read for his MA at the University of Birmingham. His research during his MA was focused on security, and he produced a thesis on cybernetic warfare.
